sorry if this is a weird question

but does anyone here know how to use sign language? And maybe be able to teach me?

I was one of the people who got... kidnapped. And they did something weird to my voice. I can't really talk all that well and I don't want it to hurt other peoples' ears so I thought maybe something like that will be better until this can get fixed somehow???

Oh, but I'll also have a book to write in so it's not a hassle for anyone else!!

I don't know how, Miss Rapunzel, but I'm sure we could find books in the library to teach it. Can I learn with you if we do?

learning something new is a whole lot easier if you have other people learning with you
not to mention it's a lot more fun, too

have you ever tried to learn another language, Falco?

Not yet. My first language is Eldian. English is still sort of strange to use when I think about it too much, but maybe that doesn't count.

I got us a book so we can start as soon as you want! The one I found has all the basics, we can practice this afternoon. What do you think?

it's like. A language you speak with your hands!
different hand movements and positions mean different words, so it makes it easy for people who can't speak or hear to communicate!
it's really useful, but i never got around to learning how to use it

As awful as it may sound, I suspect they believe they have a reason or some kind of goal they wish to achieve. But I have faith we will not allow such a thing to happen again.

they're definitely pretty universal but they won't get you super far conversation wise...

it's not selfish. just because somebody else has it worse, doesn't mean what happened to you is inconsequential
what happened to you is terrible. what happened to all of you is terrible. and it's okay to let yourself feel that

but i get trying to focus on everyone else and put your own problems on the back burner. i... really really do.

if taking care of you is kinda hard, maybe i can help? i'm dying for a way to help like, literally in any way right about now, so, you'd be helping me as much as yourself, just saying.
