This is going to be a very 'How Do You Human?' post and I wanna apologize for that. Still learning the body. Still working out the kinks. Reading things up on my own time to cover what I'm missing. (Thanks for the suggestions, @a.z.fell and @crowley. Owe you guys big time.)

BUT am I misremembering my lessons on human biology and, specifically, puberty or something? Because I'm really certain that you guys don't wake up gaining several feet in height overnight, right?

I grew several inches between my fourteenth and fifteenth birthday, but it took place over the course of a year, and I only ended up as tall as I am now.

No, not yet. [ he really hopes he never gets it back either. mostly because- ] I'm thirteen feet in my original form. Give or take. So if I'm heaving a headache just being eight feet now, I can at least count my blessings and tell myself I can kind of fit in my bed.

Yes, I can imagine how that would complicate things.

I've been scrapping together some money since I got a recommendation because, from what I can tell, I need at least a feet and a half added to any clothes I wear from here on out. [ unless he goes with the aforementioned capris idea.

But yeah sorry that this is quickly becoming Our Weirdly Specific Thing, bells or no bells. [ ... he would really love to find something that has bells, now that he thinks about it. he's going to miss his elf hat and shoes a lot. ]

This IS what we end up doing whenever we see each other, isn't it? We should plan another event that doesn't involve clothing, just to break the cycle.

Want to go snooping around town? Looking for stuff for our assigned house buddies? Try to make favours and friends with the people from here?

The town is our weird prison oyster and I've been thinking about the sort of things we can do here that doesn't require article of clothings. For ourselves. Getting something for our house buddies doesn't count, personally.

It definitely won't have digitised archives but knowing how they store past articles and information would be pretty useful to us.

As long as you don't mind explaining what digitised archives are and how they work while we investigate what they have.

Sure! That works for me. [ no doubt, the kids waiting on their homework and their grades suddenly breathe a sigh of relief. daylight and erwin may have accidentally extended the kids’ ability to hang out at the drive-in theater for one more day. two if they're lucky.

checking his closet out of habit more than anything, he makes a face at his lack of options for what he can wear now but- daylight will make do with what he has. ] Just gotta find shoes that will fit and we can get going.
