Greetings to all who read this.

I would first and foremost like to extend my gratitude to those who reside here, to give my thanks to those who have helped me settle in this place. I find many things to be strange and trying to learn them in such an environment has often proved to be tricky. I see there are people here helping others and that alone gives me hope.

Are you all doing well? All things considered, anyone could be forgiven for feeling a little under the weather.

I suppose it is common courtesy to ask a question of things unknown on this thing and I will not deny that I am always curious to know such things. So, if you are comfortable then please leave a message here with a random truth about yourselves. Nothing is too vague.

I'm unharmed, settling in, and grateful for small mercies.

My random truth is that I love to dance, but it wasn't considered an acceptable or dignified activity for someone in my position back home.

That is an optimistic take on things and a good one at that. Taking one day at a time can be a great help.

Really? Back home dancing is part of socializing. I know some who would think themselves above it, but it was never frowned upon.

In my homeland, respected men do not dance. Some respected women may dance, but only as a for a higher-ranked audience.

I suppose since I'm considered a woman here, perhaps it is allowed. No one from home is around to tell me I can't, afterall.

I know for a fact that royalty are taught to dance when they are young.

I believe anyone is allowed to dance here regardless of gender. Dance to your heart's content.

I will. I hope to learn some of the local styles of dance, or perhaps some of the styles of dance from different homelands like yours.

Do you dance?

That would be an interesting thing to learn here, I don't believe it would be as...strange as things can get.

I learned how to dance but I have not done so in a while.

It would delight me if you would be willing to teach me a few steps.

I would be more than happy to, though I would have to find a way for the music to be procured.

I can't help you with that. I know only a little about music. But they have record stores here and you could choose some music that's suitable?

Leave it with me, I shall investigate and come back to you on this. If I am unable to find anything I will ask my father figure in this place. I get the feeling they would know.

I... I don't know. I'm much more familiar with slow, I suppose.
