Greetings to all who read this.
I would first and foremost like to extend my gratitude to those who reside here, to give my thanks to those who have helped me settle in this place. I find many things to be strange and trying to learn them in such an environment has often proved to be tricky. I see there are people here helping others and that alone gives me hope.
Are you all doing well? All things considered, anyone could be forgiven for feeling a little under the weather.
I suppose it is common courtesy to ask a question of things unknown on this thing and I will not deny that I am always curious to know such things. So, if you are comfortable then please leave a message here with a random truth about yourselves. Nothing is too vague.

And speaking of learning- You're used to giants? Really? Are you guys super tall where you're from?
no subject
I'm considered average sized but I know beings much taller than myself. There are some that are extraordinarily tall and some who are more short in stature but all the more amazing for it.

[ but most definitely the gardening. he's always ecstatic to hang out with someone who'll either geek out with him over flowers or be willing to weather through the geeking out. even if anudin is the latter, that makes him a pretty swell guy in his opinion. ] I won't lie- The last remarks are surprisingly what's the word? 'Insightful' is the best way to describe it if I don't want to be wordy.
'Think outside the box and doing it in a super meaningful and open way' is definite a wordier option. [ it's not even a word! it's a phrase! ]

The Gnome race back home may be the shortest of us, but their prowess with anything mechanical is unsurpassed.

It definitely sounds like you come from a super interesting world.

I like to think so. What about your own? Do you have different races?

I guess if I have to be specific: I'm Galateion-human. Mom was human and Dad was Galateion. He was part of this alien species that were robotic mechanoid lifeforms. Pretty huge guy.
no subject
Robotic mechanoid lifeforms? I think I have an idea though I will admit I don't truly understand a lot of what you have just written.
From the sounds of things it explains why you are tall, however.

[ he has... issues with his parents, yeah, but he can admit when they're right on some things like this. ] Could I ask what you were doing or where you were before coming here? I've been trying to get a feel for what we might all have in common. Spooky kid calls aside.

A peace agent sounds like a noble effort and I feel the world could always use more if it's what I think it is.
Hmm. Well, we did not have things like this network from back home. We usually use parchment and ink to send our messages by courier. Everything here seems to be more efficient if I'm honest, even the lighting.
no subject
The lightning? Do you mean the electricity here?
Huh, I guess that means the gnomes’ technology isn’t all that accessible for you guys? [ which is a disappointing thought. access to technology and breakthroughs is good for everyone, in daylight’s experience and lessons. ]
no subject
And the gnomes do have something similar I believe, but I am not so well-versed in it. And as amazingly intelligent as they are, gnomish engineering is known for it's...
....explosions.
no subject
Oh. Okay. That explains a lot, honestly. I can see why stuff like that might need to be limited in terms of access. [ explosives or technology prone to possible combustion? yeah— that being new is kind of a yikes.
a big yikes, really. ] Well on the bright side, we could look at it this way: We have a lot of experience in handling our gear and tech, most of the time. I can promise no explosions won't happen when using the toaster or something.
Usually.
