A MUST-SEE FEBRUARY EVENT.

DOES EVERYONE HAVE SOME GOOD, CASUALLY FORMAL ATTIRE ARRANGED???

[After getting bullied into a different outfit at the Christmas Gala, he'd rather get a sense of what everyone else is planning to wear. And, while he's at it, doubly ensure that everyone has heard of the event - and caught on to the implied importance of going.]

What does casually formal even mean? How can something be both casual and formal?

THE BORING ANSWER IS, SOMETHING BETWEEN CASUAL AND FORMAL.
BUT CLOTHES ARE SO MUCH EASIER TO MIX-AND-MATCH!
MAYBE A FORMAL SUIT JACKET, BUT A FUN, FESTIVE SHIRT.

Maybe it means... relaxed formal. I think it's probably safer to dress more formal rather than too casual.

HMMM... YOU'RE PROBABLY RIGHT.
AND IF YOU GO TOO FORMAL, YOU CAN ALWAYS REMOVE A LITTLE FORMALITY.
LIKE SLIPPING OFF A SUIT JACKET!

[Assuming one's wearing a suit, anyway. It's harder with a dress, since they aren't exactly layering petticoats in this day and age.]

Just so. [Huaisang will be wearing a dress, but he knows well how to dance the line of "formal enough but not too formal", and he knows even better how to make his manners make up the difference in either direction.]
