Voice
[A young, cheerful voice comes over the airwaves, accompanied by the idle strumming (for now) of a guitar.]
Helllllo Santa Rosita. Louis here- just arrived and happy to be alive. Let’s skip the normal oh my god, what even bit for now. I’ve come, I’ve seen, I ate at the lunch party. Hey there, new mom and dad!
I have a much more important moral quandary for all you good people. It’s 1961, yeah? And, uh, I’m from not then. I don’t even know if my original flavor parents are alive yet. Meaning we are in prime Marty McFly problems zone.
[The idle strumming suddenly switches to (an acoustic version) of the opening notes of Smoke on the Water]
Would it be, like, totally wrong to record future hits and make a ridiculous amount of money?
[Now it’s the opening notes of Stairway to Heaven]
I’d have to stick to whatever rocks these old guys socks, I know, I know. So more like-
[He switches to Yesterday]
Oh, I believe in getting paid….
[The guitar playing stops suddenly as he laughs.]
Whadda ya think? Anyone ready to form a band? Yes? No? Get a lawyer? Give a guy some feedback.
Anyway, here’s Wonderwall.
[He’s going to play through that whole song (though not sing) if no one answers. Save the good people of the town and tell him to stop.]

[New mom here, she thinks that's how it works? And presumably she's out shopping or something so there's no weirdness of her using this when she could just talk ]
I can't say I really mind though.

I never heard any of those songs before! [ is she being serious? there's no way she's being serious. ] Those were amazing! Can I ask what bands these songs are from? I would love to hear more about them if they can produce such amazing songs.

Well then-! It's an honour to hear the songs from the maestro himself, Louis! I'll make sure to brag about hearing the songs first when you become famous for them and they're all playing on the radios.

But maybe using movie logic is a bad idea.
Re: voice
And movies are all we've got. Let's just all avoid the one real mistake: making out with any ancestors.
Re: voice
A new timeline is created with each time travel. That prevents paradoxes and it's somewhat compatible with real quantum physics!

You've got a good idea there, but definitely go for the stuff that's pretty close to what people already like here if you want to get the big bucks. Bein' ahead of your time is only cool in retrospect, and it doesn't make any money.

Ten years of the hand-jive first. Ugh. This plan is gonna be rough.

I wouldn't recommend messing with the timeline for personal gain. The effects could be more disastrous than you think and I wouldn't look to 'Back to the Future' as a guide on time traveling.

[This isn't just Dadly Approval TM, this is sincere Papyrus enthusiasm.]
It's not intellectual theft if it hasn't been invented yet.
[Plus, maybe the people responsible for the music he's thinking of never would have existed in this world. It's not like Papyrus thinks this is the past of his own Earth, after all. And all that's moot, if the world never advances to 1962. A victimless non-crime all around.]
If you're looking for a band space, I'm sure we could try for a shed permit.
And if you're looking for band participants... I play a mean trumpet! And Sans plays a terrible trombone.
[Terrible mostly in the sense of using it as a gag instrument for musical commentary, rather than unskilled. But as if Sans would admit to an ability outside making a joke of it.]

And so long as I don't have to build it? Shed it up, paps.

[Given that he's saying the word sigh, it is a very faked tone of disappointment. There's plenty for them to get to know each other over that's still Classic Father & Son enough to placate any neighbors who might be checking their conformity.
But still. Enjoying the fruits of labor without doing the labor itself... Just like his very-real and longterm uncle.]
But, what's ska like?
