At midnight, however, long after all the stores in Santa Rosita have closed and all the houses in Shadyside have turned off their lights... all the television sets across the neighborhood turn on, volume at full. Blaring garbled noise and static, their dials move as if guided by invisible hands. It doesn't take long before the picture settles into something watchable as a series of strange images begin to play:]

[A young, cheerful voice comes over the airwaves, accompanied by the idle strumming (for now) of a guitar.]

Helllllo Santa Rosita. Louis here- just arrived and happy to be alive. Let’s skip the normal oh my god, what even bit for now. I’ve come, I’ve seen, I ate at the lunch party. Hey there, new mom and dad!

I have a much more important moral quandary for all you good people. It’s 1961, yeah? And, uh, I’m from not then. I don’t even know if my original flavor parents are alive yet. Meaning we are in prime Marty McFly problems zone.

[The idle strumming suddenly switches to (an acoustic version) of the opening notes of Smoke on the Water]

Would it be, like, totally wrong to record future hits and make a ridiculous amount of money?

[Now it’s the opening notes of Stairway to Heaven]

I’d have to stick to whatever rocks these old guys socks, I know, I know. So more like-

[He switches to Yesterday]

Oh, I believe in getting paid….

[The guitar playing stops suddenly as he laughs.]

Whadda ya think? Anyone ready to form a band? Yes? No? Get a lawyer? Give a guy some feedback.

Anyway, here’s Wonderwall.

[He’s going to play through that whole song (though not sing) if no one answers. Save the good people of the town and tell him to stop.]

okay, so, the longer i'm here and the creepier this place gets, the more i feel like we need to come together and try and protect each other. maybe i'm wrong, but i don't feel like the administration or police here can help us much.

with who we're supposed to be changing all the time (that sounds crazy but i had one "family" and now i have another), and people like the elves in the christmas village being like... that, i feel like we need to know who we have and be ready just in case

i feel like a good start is knowing who we are. who we're supposed to be. so we know if something is wrong. right? okay. so me first:

i'm peter. i'm from queens. i graduated from midtown science almost a year ago. i was raised by my aunt may. i like science and skateboarding and photography. that last one isn't as alliterative, my bad. i worked as a photographer but i'm also good at repairing things, mechanical stuff.

i know this talking about yourself thing is uncomfortable. dude, it took me like an hr to think of like 4 sentences. i just think knowing we're not alone and knowing each other enough to know something might be wrong is important.
