So what's the verdict on people who disappear? Buried in the woods or dissolved in acid? My bet is the woods. Vats of acid are a pain in the ass to get, especially shipped up to some backwards ass town like this. Just a heads up, if you see some extra green grass or a gross dip in the ground then you probably don't wanna start digging.

so, uh, hypothetically if someone worked at the paper and had access to a lot of old files and i mean a LOT OF OLD FILES and was going to go dig a little deeper, what should they look for

because there's a LOT to look through. they've got piles upon piles of stuff for 1961. i'm guessing that this place has been stuck on repeat for awhile.

a lot of it seems mundane but i dunno, i gotta kinda rifle fast, you know? so, anyone got ideas? things i should look for?

It looks like people are going missing.

Two of my friends, Okuyasu and Kiara, haven't been responding to any of my messages or calls since yesterday.

I've gone around th town to see if I can get a glimpse of them and nothing. Nada. Zip. Jackshit.

Coupled with other faces not being seen around town anymore - Have you guys noticed anyone else not popping up? Or noticed your friends not responding to messages?

Let me know so we can keep a track of everyone's status.

For those I have not met, I am Sister Agatha Van Helsing. I have been mentally absent this past fortnight. Given this, I have questions for those gathered here. I have many, in fact, but will start with this:

Were you also mentally disturbed for any time this past month? If so, what do you recall? If not, what did you observe of those that were?

The gifts given appear to be the work of a child. Do any recall hearing the voice of a child before arriving here? What did it say to you?

Do any of those present have experience with the supernatural, unholy, witchcraft, or how ever else you wish to label it? I would like to arrange a meeting for us to compile and compare knowledge, if so.

Was anyone not native to this location killed during the events of the past month?

Though it may paint me a bit of a sentimental fool, I can't be the only person here who wrote a letter to "Santa" — what I would like to know is whether anyone else received a reply...?

I was gifted a version of what I asked for, I suppose you could say, with a note attached. Almost childlike in its writing and sentiment.

okay, so, the longer i'm here and the creepier this place gets, the more i feel like we need to come together and try and protect each other. maybe i'm wrong, but i don't feel like the administration or police here can help us much.

with who we're supposed to be changing all the time (that sounds crazy but i had one "family" and now i have another), and people like the elves in the christmas village being like... that, i feel like we need to know who we have and be ready just in case

i feel like a good start is knowing who we are. who we're supposed to be. so we know if something is wrong. right? okay. so me first:

i'm peter. i'm from queens. i graduated from midtown science almost a year ago. i was raised by my aunt may. i like science and skateboarding and photography. that last one isn't as alliterative, my bad. i worked as a photographer but i'm also good at repairing things, mechanical stuff.

i know this talking about yourself thing is uncomfortable. dude, it took me like an hr to think of like 4 sentences. i just think knowing we're not alone and knowing each other enough to know something might be wrong is important.

I just got dropped in the lake someone come rescue me. ... Those teleporting doors, this time it deposited me in the lake, I almost died. ... The village looks abandoned please someone come help i'm freezing ... Please come help and also maybe bring some spare blankets ... What if we set up a camp here for people who are getting teleported out here in the cold without jackets? Lake or not. ... I'm burning a holiday wreath for warmth. If I can figure out how to light a fire. Please someone come help.

((After getting dropped in the lake the first time, Huaisang will be helping to organize an emergency warmth station at the abandoned village, with blankets and food. Of course, this means that you'll have to find a way to get through the blizzard with those blankets and food, but you'll probably be grateful for those efforts later!))
