Greetings.

For those I have not met, I am Sister Agatha Van Helsing. I have been mentally absent this past fortnight. Given this, I have questions for those gathered here. I have many, in fact, but will start with this:

Were you also mentally disturbed for any time this past month? If so, what do you recall? If not, what did you observe of those that were?

The gifts given appear to be the work of a child. Do any recall hearing the voice of a child before arriving here? What did it say to you?

Do any of those present have experience with the supernatural, unholy, witchcraft, or how ever else you wish to label it? I would like to arrange a meeting for us to compile and compare knowledge, if so.

Was anyone not native to this location killed during the events of the past month?

I believe I heard the same, but it is difficult to parse the difference between near-death and reality.

Did you witness anyone in particular act that way? What were the differences you noted?

And I have some experience with those things. I'd be happy to help, though I fear my knowledge might not be the most useful.

as in badass vampire hunter Van Helsing?

And I am doubtful. I have only encountered one vampire, the Count Dracula. A single encounter does not create a hunter, I should think.

I had wondered if it were merely a wishful thought on my death. But many have reported the same. Then the child-like gifts for Christmas suggest it may be something more that wishful thinking.

You grew magical hair? In what way?

I wasn't myself for several days at the end of the month. It happened after I fell in the lake near the Christmas Village. I pulled myself out and was looking for shelter, but there was only one house with lights. I went in and

That is an apt way to put it. It is all a glowing dream, now. In some ways, I have never experienced such peace.

If the source cursed us intentionally, it is a most dangerous foe.

I'd say this past month disturbed the shit out of a lot of people, just not in the way you meant.

I know of someone else that was acting a particular way for a while. It clearly didn't matter who he really was, or how he acted before.

I trust they have recovered, then? Are you aware for how long they were pacified?

And when you say mentally disturbed, do you mean like just a normal amount, or all that weird robotic brainwashing business?
Because I would love to hear some more theories on that.
What were you thinking? Demonic possession?

I am. I can only hope the Lord is understanding of my accidental betrayal of my vows. I certainly do not recall taking them with my current 'husband.'

Demons typically do not possess simply to pacify an individual, let alone an so many in one town. Loudun, for instance, was hardly filled with serenely sewing sisters.

It is possible we are simply pieces caught in a tug of war between our summoner and whatever they require help against. Could one or both be a demon? Some other creature entirely? Or is it that maintaining our personalities in this world may require more effort than the force that brought us here is consistently capable of? Could our neighbors be others that were abducted here and stayed too long, losing themselves as a result? There are too many possibilities and too little data.

But, given the year has begun again, I would say we at least have a little time to investigate.

Mentally disturbed? What were you symptoms? I found much of what happened upsetting, but I was not moved any more than the usual.

As to your questions, I did respond to a voice asking for help.

Additionally, I have some experience with that which interests you. There would be much to gain from an exchange of information.

Manic cheer. It seems I fell closer to being as some of our neighbors are than anything like myself. A concerning event, indeed, that it can strike so suddenly.

Agreed. We must organize a meeting of the like minded. There are too many different worlds at play for any of us to have a grasp on what was happened to us.

i kind of remember the voice of somebody young, maybe, yeah. they were asking for help, i think? i figured it was some kind of weird trick or some other weird quirk of this place, but now that you mention it, what if it wasn't?

I am well now. For a time I was as some of our neighbors, mindlessly cheerful. I seem to have ignored a number of disturbing events.

Given this is one of the few items all of us seem to have in common, for now I chose to believe it was real. There are too few clues to set any aside.

No need for forgiveness. I imagine many things could fall under that, depending on history. One from the middle ages would call this communication device sorcery, I should think.

Anything not created by the hands of man or holy nature. I take you have a particular example in mind?

I have a history of mental disturbance, but nothing like what I think you're describing. And no, nothing during the past month.

I do remember hearing a child. A little girl. She asked for help.

This appears a consistent story, one of the only common among us. Whether the child, if it is truly such, is friend or foe is another matter.
