[ in the mid-afternoon, after trying and failing to get in contact with the others and with suspicions growing by the hour, daylight finally sends out a message to the network at large: ]

It looks like people are going missing.

Two of my friends, Okuyasu and Kiara, haven't been responding to any of my messages or calls since yesterday.

I've gone around th town to see if I can get a glimpse of them and nothing. Nada. Zip. Jackshit.

Coupled with other faces not being seen around town anymore - Have you guys noticed anyone else not popping up? Or noticed your friends not responding to messages?

Let me know so we can keep a track of everyone's status.

Not responding to any messages as well? Nothing if you call them or text them or anything? [ that's been daylight's experience so far after realising he hasn't seen them or heard of them around town. ]

Yeah. I've been trying to message her since another friend of mine, Okuyasu, wasn't responding. She hasn't answered anything I sent and trust me: I've sent a lot.

I was thinking that myself, yeah. Maybe they could have gone home or escaped. I think there are signs they're still around.

[ okay. let him explain this bit. it's a bit messy, even for him, but- ] A friend of mine had a house buddy but they vanished sometime back. I got curious about that. Asked the people from here if they noticed my friend's partner going missing or leaving.

They all claimed to never have heard or met them. Some went as far as to say my buddy has always been single to their knowledge.

When I asked for my friends, I would get shrugs or suggestions maybe I missed them. Stuff like that. It's only three examples, I know, but it's all I got so far.

Levi didn't come over yesterday morning like he usually does. I assumed he was doing training or at work, and so I went to work too. But then neither of them came home, and they're not answering their messages.

It's been over twenty-four hours since I last saw either of them.

Anduin Wrynn is missing.

[ oh fuck- he knows that name- ] I'm sorry. I'm going out now on my bike to check one last while I pedal around town. Can you let me know what he looks like so I can keep an eye out for him?

[ as daylight hurries out of the house, he manages to shoot out another message when a thought/question comes to mind: ]

Getting no help from the locals if you try to ask for anything, right?

[ erwin is doing a much better job than daylight so far, honestly. daylight himself to lose his shit with one angry toss of a notebook of his at one point. ]

That's four people with names, who are in our situation, that vanished into thin air. All not answering our messages.

There's no way this is a coincidence. [ daylight pauses for a second, trying to check his bike's condition before he hopped on it and sent out another text: ] I'm going to bike around the town one last time, to see if anything or anyone pops out to me. Is he also going to the high school? I can speed by there for you.

Medium length blonde hair, normally tied back. Blue eyes. Perpetual frown. Broad shoulders.

I will find where he is held.

[Erwin had his freak out earlier, and in private. He's still indulging in it, somewhat, but it's mostly beating himself up mentally for not seeing this coming.]

Falco goes to the middle school so that isn't necessary, but thank you. I'm going to walk around my neighborhood and see if I can spot anything out of the ordinary. I'll keep an eye out for your friends as well.

This has the fingerprints of whoever has us here, fucking and jerking us around, so you're going to need backup. [ a lot of it if they were able to get more than(?) five people so quickly and so quietly. ]

I will not rest until whatever entity is responsible for this has been ripped to pieces.

And I'll help buddy. I promise. We're going to take rounds kicking whoever did this and I'll make sure you get first dibs.

First, we gotta figure out where they could have gone in the first place. Or what they all had in common besides being in our situation.

Do you know anyone else who got snatched up? I know four names for sure, excluding Anduin.

[ he winces when he learns falco is in middle school. definitely younger than okuyasu then- besides them being forced to this town, what did the missing people have in common...?

he takes a quick pitstop near a grocery store and sends out a request/question: ] Can we meet up when we're done with our scoping of the town? So we can keep talking but keep it on the down-low?

I don't feel comfortable on this device but it's the fastest way to reach out to everyone in our situation. [ much to his dismay. he recalls a casual conversation he had with sans about making their own network or something and decides maybe it's not a bad idea. especially in the wake of this. ]

Huh. So when someone here disappears usually, it's as if they'd never existed in the first place. They're deleted out of existence.

[ Okay that sounded a tad too familiar. Hopefully there isn't a crazy club president somewhere out there. Regardless... Using real life logic and video game logic, two conclusions can be reached. ]

You're right, it sounds as though it's something else.

I think we should investigate the HHA and the luncheon they "invited" us to. The two events are too close together for it to be a coincidence.

Furthermore, it's Valentine's Day soon. Considering what kind of place this is, it's not impossible the disappearances are somehow related.

Do you have descriptions of these people? Or images, those what are they, photographs, are popular here, right? That may help if there's anyone else missing, too. I don't know those names, but I'm, ah, recent enough myself.

Do you know where either of those people were last seen? Or any of the rest, if more of our ragtag band of abductees have gone missing. Tracking people across realms is one thing, but if they've been taken away to some part of this one, we might be able to find signs, tracks, something.
