[ in the mid-afternoon, after trying and failing to get in contact with the others and with suspicions growing by the hour, daylight finally sends out a message to the network at large: ]

It looks like people are going missing.

Two of my friends, Okuyasu and Kiara, haven't been responding to any of my messages or calls since yesterday.

I've gone around th town to see if I can get a glimpse of them and nothing. Nada. Zip. Jackshit.

Coupled with other faces not being seen around town anymore - Have you guys noticed anyone else not popping up? Or noticed your friends not responding to messages?

Let me know so we can keep a track of everyone's status.

I was wondering if you're okay since I think you're by yourself right now. [ right? when asking around huaisang's house buddy, they kept mentioning he might have always been a single parent, to daylight's confusion. ]

I have a ... son now, actually, recently arrived. Angelo Sauper. He's already answered in, he's fine, and very capable tactically. But I had been alone for a while before that. My friend from home is here, too, Wei Wuxian. He's a genius.

I reached Archer and he said that he's okay but Rapunzel's gone. I haven't heard back from Carmilla or Ray Gilette yet. Everyone else I know has either already responded to you or been accounted for.

[ so huaisang and wei do know each other. glad that's confirmed now. along with the mystery of what the heck those people meant whenever they referred to huaisang as a 'single parent' when he spoke to them about the missing house buddy.

daylight takes note of that and the names that are brought up, briefly checking the directory of names they have in the walkie-talkies. ]

So it's safe to say there are at least more than ten people missing, give or take. Wherever Camilla and Ray are, they're still around since their names are still on the directory. [ but not responding to the messages? maybe they're keeping their heads down which, honestly, is the best idea at the moment. ] You and Angelo stick together when in the house, okay? And try to have a buddy system or let someknow know your whereabouts if you go out for a while.

[ says the man pedalling about on his bike. ]

I'll do my best. My son is quite... independent and more strategic than I am. But I can at least try and keep in contact regarding where I'm going and when.

[ upon reading huaisang’s message and the promise that he’ll try, he sighs in relief. it’s the most certainty that can be asked at the moment. ]

Alright. Good to know, buddy.

Also: Don’t be afraid to call me or the others if you need a hand too. I’ll do what I can to keep you and the others safe, I promise. Wish this could have been another quiet month for us but it doesn’t look like it, huh?
